I had my spine snapped during a JV football game. My back is a host of steel cable and screws. I never set off the detectors.

Ken they told you it was cable and screws but its really just duct tape and tooth picks, sorry buddy

All I can say is take rehab very seriously and know it better than the rehabber's do. Don't over do it which is hard to do but it will set you back more. Never over do weights!

Now that I have been sitting on my couch for the last month, I have run this through my mind more times than I would like. There are a couple things I could've done, but I thought I was safe.

David, can I ask what are the things you would have done differently?

This can happen to anyone and I want to make sure I take all precautions before I go on my next ladder climb.

    Thanks Hal.

Zak, I would've put my bullhorns on my ladder and I should've had my son hold the ladder until I was on the roof.
He was cleaning the pool deck and pool fence while I was cleaning the gutters.

My son has a arm that looks like David's x-ray. Same as Ken, no problems at security...
"If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." -
    Samuel Adams
