help with F-8 on vinyl siding

I have some rust on vinyl siding that I have to clean. I've read here that 8oz of F-8 per gallon in a pump sprayer with a dwell time of 10-15 min does a good job. Do you guys spot clean the rust area or spray the entire side of house? Seems spot cleaning would create discoloring??? Suggestions?

    thanks for the help

We spot clean. I've never really noticed a "too clean" spot where the rust had been.

Spot clean...I have run into this on many townhomes where the ac discharge is piped just outside the siding and allowed to drip down...never had any discoloration on the vinyl

Thanks guys... Jeff, that's exactly the situation I have. Heat pump drains down side of the house.

Depending on how bad and long it has been there you may have to do a couple of applications to get it all

On heavy rust, I agitate it a little. You can use a brush or go, nah nah na nah nah. The brush usually works better. LOL
