    Another thing to Chris, I used to use Microsoft Word for alot of things when I first started. That's another option to.

    I still do all my stuff on MS Word...didn't have the patience to figure out Quickbooks unfortunately

    I do everything on MS Word, saves money and just email estimates or invoices if they want them. They already are saving my biz card so I don't need this waste of paper.

    I started out using MS Word. I've been using Quicken Small Business for the past three years, which is extremely similar to Quickbooks. I keep a printer in the truck, powered by an inverter, so estimates are fast and easy, and I have all the contact information readily available. I don't use Quicken for my accounting though, ironically, just for estimates, invoices, and contact history.

    An Excel file and my checkbook. This may be the year that I hire a lady who lives in my house to start doing the accounting.
