You should make sure you have 2 wire hose. It lasts longer.

They'll have to pry the one wire hose from my cold dead arthritic fingertips.

That 2 wire stuff is for manly men like James VanHandle it money.

If I unreel only the amount of hose I need for the job and I leave some of the hose on the reel it will blow out every time. This has happened twice and luckily northern tool has exchanged it both times. What I'm doing now is, if I only need 100' for the job I disconnect that section and bypass the reel. It's a real pain in the ^$$. What am I doing wrong & How is everyone else doing it?
    Hello New Friend,

#1...That goodyear yellow hose from Northern is junk. Except for QC's & Cox reels, everything from there is junk....don't worry....most guys have made the same mistake.

#2....unless your running hot water, there is no need for 2 wire hose, 1 wire is fine.

#3.....Call Bob at Pressure Tek.... He'll get you set up.

    Welcome by the way.................Just Saying!

Never had a hose blow out from being on the reel, never.

I hardly ever unroll all the hose, just what I need to do the job, it is just more work to do later when the job is done.

I only use 1 wire hose also, never needed 2 wire hose yet.

I have had a few friends use the northern tool hose and other toys from that place and they have regretted almost every purchase. That has saved me a lot of time, aggravation and throwing away money.

I always unroll all of the hose off of the reel. If you leave any on there it gets all loose on the reel anyways and then it's difficult to roll the rest of it back up so I don't think it really saves you anytime. IMHO.
