    1/2 and 3/8 hose question

I saw a YouTube video of a guy who built a trailer rig and his pressured hose reel started with 50 of 1/2 hose, then from that out to the wand was 100 of 3/8 hose. Is there an advantage to this?? Maybe back pressure??

There is no benefit. A vendor in Florida started this nonsense because they make more money from 1/2 inch hose.

    I agree with William........You don't need 1/2" hose running 5.5 gpm.......

We did do testing on this years ago and with our 10 gal. Machines you will lose around 300 psi with 3/8 hose over 1/2 with 100ft. When you put on 300ft you lose more. Also you lose more gallon flow but we did not test that. When linking 2 10 gal. Machines together for 20 gal. You need 1/2 hose at least.
