    Log Siding Restoration

    Hi All,

New here, but wanted to get some advice on this log siding. Looks to be pine with a previous coating 3-4 years ago, but extremely weathered. What would your prescription be for this siding?

Was thinking, wetting, sodium percarb, light oxalic acid application, rinse, rinse. I plan to pre-test a few area to see if I need some HD-80 first. The owner does not know the previous stain brand. What are your thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Guy

    I've got a 5:1 downstream injector

Needs to be stripped and redone. Percarb will not remove log finishes which are usually hard acrylics.

Quik update: Today I applied bleach and TSP to the areas that looked like they had the most pigment. Scrubbed and the pigment came right off. It looked like it was maybe a water based stain that was applied before. I'm going to apply the same by downsteaming next week and see what the power washer will take off.
