    ops: What I was trying to ask is this:

    if I use a #2 nozzle @ 4000psi, the chart says I will be shooting 2gpm, right?

    If it is right then wouldnt my psi shoot up to 16000 and could that kind of back pressure blow something up on your rig, not to mention what it would to to whatever you are pointing at?

    The pressure will only rise to what you unloader is set to.

    I think I am getting it now. The unloader IS the pressure relief valve..

    Yes. Also, your pump GPM will never drop unless your motor slows, your belt slips, or your unloader opens. When you reduce the orifice, the [s]pressure[/s] GPM stays constant, the pressure rises.
