Never had to bid on a project like this. Are you pricing it about the same as concrete and any other flat-work?

Yes, I know I am reviving a really old thread. But, at least, I am not bumping it after 3 years like the last bump....lol

First I found out the budget (or lack of). Then I planned the steps it would take, i.e. hot water gum removal, then surface clean, then turbo where surface cleaner couldn't reach, rinsing, stairs etc. Next I calculated time and man power needed to complete the job. Lastly I negotiated with the school to make up the difference in my cost and the budget to advertise and add future work. I received more knowledge equity in this project than financial which pay greater dividend in the future. Does this make sense? I don't mind more questions and can get you my # is needed.

Makes sense. You mentioned advertising and future work. You got free advertising through the school as a part of this job? Future work from the school or just from the exposure of performing this job?

Yes, they gave me free plugs during the home games every quarter and gave me the job of power washing the baseball stadium as well as a promise to get the jobs every year if I so choose to do it.

That is awesome. I never even thought about the possibilities and opportunities that could come with a job like that.
