Thread: $1 Trillion Over 10 Years

    $1 Trillion Over 10 Years

$1 Trillion over 10 years starting NOW but the changes don't take effect until 2014?

We pay $1 Trillion for 6 years of the program over 10 years, not $1 trillion for 10 years of the program.

    Ugh! :bash:

Here is my argument: We don't have the money! Period! It doesn't matter who we are spending it on, or where it is going, we don't have it! Our country is in for a HUGE wake up call.

We'd have plenty of cash if we stopped giving it away to all the other countries.

For arguments sake, I'll grant you that Iraq and Afghanistan were a complete waste of time and money. That still doesn't make it ok to spend money we don't have on other programs. That's like saying that your wife bouncing two checks makes it ok for you to go write a bad check for a car.

Correction: We would have MORE cash if we stopped giving it away. Not plenty, not enough to fund healthcare, just more. And even if we stopped those programs and saved billions, that still doesn't make it ok to spend money you don't have. Using the prior analogy again, that's like saying that your wife stopped bouncing two checks a month so now it's ok for you to go write a bad check for a car.

Wish, hope, and believe all you like. But govt run healthcare is a change this country will soon regret and never forget. It will make SS look like a well oiled machine.

Charity does begin at home, NOT with the govt.
