Different Nozzels
« on: March 07, 2010, 10:33:43 PM »
I have came across a ton of posts talking about different nozzel sizes and combinations. Ive seen some about guys drilling nozzels out.

I currently have a rollover with a 0060 for soap and a 0015.

Today I was cleaning my truck out and found a male airhose quick connect fitting. It just reached up and grabbed my eye. Its orfice is probably close to a 1/4 inch. I put it in a 3/8 female quick connect and shot higher and the spray ran straiter coming out of the gun... didnt fan out as much.

I guess Im just tickled i came across something new.

Who all does something different like this?

If you like it and it works for you then use it. :D
I use to have an 1/8" and the 3/16" hose barbs on my 4 way but they kept bending so I put the 0015 and 0030 nozzles in.
The first "shooter" nozzle I ever had was a 1/4" hose barb and made it becuase I read guys on here were using them for shooting 2 story houses. I cleaned my first house with it and a 1540. Ive upgraded alot since then.
I'd like to drill out my x-jet but it would probably be easier to just order the larger orfice and change it.

You can get a longer, straighter shot using a little bit of a lance after the gun. Of course gpm is  king when it comes to distance. I had reason to take an exact measurement from ground to the top of a chimney. It was 56' and using a standard lance and my arm extended, I shot over it.

Ive got a 12" lance on this gun. Just enough for a grip.

It shot 10' short of the top of a tall pine.

I can too.  But it's only 8ft tall...   :D

Numbers would be a bit more useful.
