got ya.Tanks I was going to grind it up into powder form but you are probably right.

you can buy it in a powder form i believe.  if it would work it would be great. as you would need a fraction of the space to store it and its a lot cheaper

6%  is all i have used so far and it works good bit you cant add much of anything to it or it wont work.

i was in walmart yesterday and they have "liquid clorinator" in there pool section its 10% but it was 10 bucks for 2 gallons

Check your local Loews. They list 10% liquid for $7 for 2 gallons on their site. Depends on if they will sell it in your state or not. (Tn. won't)

Can you dissolve those chlorine tablets they sell at Wall-Mart. I was walking through Wall-mart when I saw them and it made me say hummmm!

Clue #1 - Ever wondered why no one here talks about how great using HTH is?

Clue #2 - No. Powdered or tablet.

I actually did a house yesterday and used 2 gallons of household, dollar store bleach along with 1 cup of Simple Cherry. I put it in a 5er and then topped it off with 3 gallons of hot water. This is all of the bleach I had on my truck with me. I was detailing a car and the customer asked me to clean their detached garage. I thought I was screwed but man, I wish I took pics now. I let it sit for 10 minutes since it was cloudy and humid. I came back around from the front of the house and man, it was clean. I'm using the downstreamer Bob sells so it's like 10:1. I might have been at 1-2% if I'm doing my math right but it worked and worked well.

Just my two cents.

Probably closer to .4-.5% at the siding.

You may have been at 2% in your bucket, but by the time you downstreamed, even at 10:1 you were around .2%, which is not effective.  Was their algae on the garage?  If not, then that's why the bleach worked.

  Next time don't add the water to the 5er.
