6 men can do it in less than a week and at an avg of 600.00 per week gross pay per man that is 3600.00 + the cost of gas , diesel insurance and chems

if we did it only on 60 day accounts roughly 5/6 (or 100k) of the total gross would be left to go toward profit

Russ, if my math is right, your putting at least 15k in the bank every 60 days after this account?

that math was only based on .03 per square foot and "if" it was done on a 60 day only deal , the whole thing is that some are as high as .07 and the lowest was at .03 to .04 and this is multiple locations of different retail centers (not all eggs from the same basket) this is several different contracts so the cost of business is higher but some are donr every 30 days and some are don 60 days all are new business though so we will have to see how thay all play out , however 15k would be close , probably be more towards 8.5k a month but I will know better after I see some averages in a few months , its all profitable and good work and we are excited about the growth (a close friend gave me some more sound advice again ! ) he is the Master Jedi Muskrat

So, another post got me thinking......maybe the $99 housewash guys are going to be the ones selling their equipment.  Follow me here.  Lowballer/hack types that do this for beer money or even not even the lowballer/hack types that just do it as a part time sideline for extra money (not bad work, just not their primary source of income)  They don't have the "whole heart, mind & mortgage" invested in their company.  I think they will be the ones to peter out first because they don't need it. They have other resources to fall back on - why risk the fines and the potential stigma of being a "water waster"?  They can just stop and it doesn't matter to them - hey, they would be the type that can decide this week to become a painter. (Dan, don't take that reference personally please!)  Make sense?  I still believe the strong will survive.

Celeste, for you guys sake I hope you are right, but I fear that not to be the case.  Every low baller I have ever talked to at length had the same attitude.  My job paid/pays $18.50/hr. I can pressure wash and make twice that!!!  And then, they calculate their bountiful gains based only pump running hours.  So, a $99 house wash that takes 4hr ridiculous hours still pays better than their job does/did.  And if they can knock that down to 2 hours, WooHoo that's $50/hr!!!

Low balling is generally not a pricing strategy, but rather plain old ignorance about business...

Theres another side to the 99 dollar story.

I recently offered a 99 dollar commercial building wash.

Keep in mind that $99 is a tactic to maybe and upsell.
