From a business point of view, I know where I have been (and not going back!) and I know where I want to be - Threads like this help me determine my path or paths I take.

I have thought about the $99 up-sell route but looked at it as a bait and switch so I decided not to do it. Ads in the paper are $99-$129 for a single story, I could match that if the house was 800-900 SF and everything else is going to be higher.

If I had four 2 man crews washing 4 houses a day each, @$99 I would end up with less then $25/day in my pocket. Actualy a lot less when you figure in the advertising $$$ needed to get 16 houses a day for the season..

On the other hand, if I had a "real" job and just needed extra cash for fun money, $50+/hour looks real good.

The $99 guys will always be around but with different faces as they replace themselves.

Then you should fire 4 people and tell the remaining 1 man crews to pick it up or get gone.  My 1 man crews averaged 4-5 houses per day...

If I had a crew they would all be two man crews just for safety reasons.

If I had the work load I would figure out a way to get 7+ houses a day done  but I dont right now :bash:

Its tuff getting started in a market dominated by lowballing hacks who have left "us" with a bad reputation.

I have the will so I know there is a way

6 men can do it in less than a week and at an avg of 600.00 per week gross pay per man that is 3600.00 + the cost of gas , diesel insurance and chems

if we did it only on 60 day accounts roughly 5/6 (or 100k) of the total gross would be left to go toward profit

Russ, if my math is right, your putting at least 15k in the bank every 60 days after this account?

that math was only based on .03 per square foot and "if" it was done on a 60 day only deal , the whole thing is that some are as high as .07 and the lowest was at .03 to .04 and this is multiple locations of different retail centers (not all eggs from the same basket) this is several different contracts so the cost of business is higher but some are donr every 30 days and some are don 60 days all are new business though so we will have to see how thay all play out , however 15k would be close , probably be more towards 8.5k a month but I will know better after I see some averages in a few months , its all profitable and good work and we are excited about the growth (a close friend gave me some more sound advice again ! ) he is the Master Jedi Muskrat

 wow i think you would make more...I do myself 10k mo.checkers pays 7.800.00 mo....I have 26.. I do 3 a night.. my weekley accts=825.00......some 75.00 driveways,tile roofs 3 or 4 a week.
