READ THE LABELS!!

I had 2 15gal drums of SH picked the other day.  Started mixing some sauce for a roof tomorrow and mixed up the TSP and Borax.  Popped one of the drums  and started pumping the Hydrochloric Acid in the mix...

Wait..

Why is this bubbling over and noxious fumes coming out?????

I of course ALWAYS look at the label  :no:

They gave me Battery Acid instead!!!  :eek:  Now I have to find a place that will take battery acid, borax, and TSP mixed together :bash: :bangin: :bash: :curse:

Sounds like the company that sold you the SH should find a place that will take the mix.

I'm confused, Tony.

They sold you hydrochloric acid instead of sodium hypochlorite?

Where does batter acid (sulfuric acid) come into play?

Yep, you're right Ken, I was thinking it was battery acid.  I had two barrells of SH picked up and they came in 15gal black low profile drums - similar in size, shape, and labeling as the SH I normally get.  It was getting dark and before I realized it the TSP/Borax mix and acid were having a good ol' time.

Borax/TSP & Hydrochloric Acid?  I know that this is simialr or the same as muriatic I believe but I don't like the fact that the TSP/Borax is mixed with it.

lol I bet .after it simmers down. It works good> I use it on my restraunts. After i lay down my degresser.
