Hey everybody, I'm new to the forum. My name is ZacK, I've been pressure washing for a while. Started out a few years ago pressure washing my uncles wharehouse, delivery trucks, etc. I just reciently started my own business. I'm a senior in college so I'm still working the part time gig. Anyway, I have been picking up some roof washing business. I have done a few buy they were all metal roofs. I was wondeing what advantages the Delavan pumps are as opposed to the x-jet. I have mostly done house washing. Also, from alot of what I have read most people use and chlorine & soap mixture and don't rise it. Just wondering what the general opinion is. Are most of you guys ranging from $200-400 on an average 1 story house (1500 sq. ft.)??

I like the 5/8 hose version, but that is up to you.

Plenty use the 1/2 inch hose set up, and some even 3/8 

NOT "going there" at the moment 

I would rather have a Delevan chem pump with 1/4 inch hose then try and x jet a roof 

The question you asked is a common one, we have all been there before.

NOTHING beats a dedicated chem pump for roof cleaning, except maybe an "Apple Stick"

So this guy sells the whole set up? how big of a detergant tank should I be using. I'm still weighing the options because i primarily wash houses. This roof washing stuff is still pretty new. If i can get by with the x-jet I might stick with that, or at least until roof washing becomes more profitable than house washing....


Does the Delavan have a spray similar to the height that comes out of a x-jet? I think I saw its about 60psi, so I'm thinking im trying to compare apples and oranges.
