hey im new on here and to the roof cleaning business. ive worked as roofer for the past several years and sometimes get tired of only having thing to offer a customer. ive been researching on this site for hours and went through about 30 pages of posts lastnite. it seems you guys like to use bleach and im fine with that too.  my question is i found this defy product online and its sold at a paint store down the road from and they say it works better and is safer and wont harm the paint or brick or landscaping or pets. im sure thats what every new product says but i wanted to ask the pros before i bought it. its about $20 for one gallon of cleaner which covers 7-9 squares. they also have a treatment to spray on after the cleaning that you dont have to rinse of or anything like that. it all sounds good on thier site but thats how they make so people will buy. if you have any information on this stuff please let me know.

It works.

However, you will spend more $$ on material and WAAAAY more on labor. Our method is spray on and rinse off with garden hose pressure. DEFY will require more pressure and going over every square inch of surface with up close and personal attention resulting in a 4-5 hour job and exposure to fall risks versus 1 hour and never getting on the roof.

Defy, roof renew, spray & forget.......Lots of 'em, but none work faster or cheaper than sodium hypochlorite, water and a surfactant.

so basically just get the pump set up from pressuretek and 100 gallon tank and some garden hose spray type guns and go with the 12.5% mix. or that apple sauce stuff.
