I'm just throwing this out here...
The International Log Builders Association is revamping their log building standards and wants to include home maintenance. Would any of you think it would be beneficial to reveal some trade secrets/methods that go beyond what the stain company's provide on standard procedure? And what I mean is like stain company X says use a pressure washer and we would say use a pressure washer between 4-5.5 gpm's with pressure no greater than 500psi. or where stain company X says use our cleaner where we would say use a buffered sodium hydroxide solution. Or would you just rather them have the generic rundown on procedure and that would be good enough? The purpose of the maintenance section would be to educate the log builder on the proper way to prep and stain the house if he so chooses or otherwise would be to educate him to make the right choice on choosing a stainer who does the job correctly according to the standards. Shoot me a PM and share your thoughts or ideas on this if you would please.
Thanks,
JVT
