I don't agree to how the professionals treat newbies
« on: July 07, 2009, 03:45:07 AM »
I can see it took you years to learn this business, inside and out.
I don't understand why when someone who is new, who has a very specific question that doesn't get answered and gets referred to searching, if it took you a lot of reading and years of learning, why don't you simply answer the question with a simple direct answer instead of referring newbies to a loophole.
Do you think that it is fair not to help newbies for the simple reason that it took you years of learning?because you have been in business long enough not to make any mistakes, but you are forcing them to learn the hard way, by wasting a lot of money and time.

Let me see if I'm understanding this correctly... This was your 1st post on this board... http://www.ptstate.com/index.php/topic,8495.msg113887.html#msg113887

A friendly suggestion was made to do searching using the search button and do a little reading. Now in your 2nd post your ready to beat everyone up who suggests that you do a little of your own research rather than having everything handed to you on a silver platter...   WOW! I can see it now... This is gonna turn into a long thread! Whats post #3 gonna be? Asking someone to go out and do the work for you?

There is a lot and I do mean a lot of information pertaining to just about every question you could ever come up with on this board. Just do a little research and you will find answers. If at that point you still need help then I'm sure someone will be willing to help. One thing I CAN tell you though....You better have some thick skin if your gonna come blasting out of the gate making remarks and starting threads like the one you just did...

If you use the search function and still don't feel like you have grasped the needed info you may want to consider a training course.I can help you with many of your questions,as well as, some marketing basics and definitely can teach you a variety of washing techniques from house washing to deck resto. The cost is minimal and I promise you will go home with a splitting headache from all the info I'll fill your head with in a 5 day period.
A 5 day general training class working on jobs with me will only set you back $2100.You pay for your own hotel and food.

am, don't get put off. Most of us have had to go through the hard knocks and we are better business people for it. If a new PW'ing company owner gets things handed to them, they will not get stronger and when they are faced with the real world dilemmas a BBS cannot solve, they get crippled. Take the good with the bad and try to put aside the personalities. Extract the information that is vital to you becoming a businessman. The very fact that someone even answers a post means someone cares enough to help you.

Here are the posts I don't mind answering:
"I've been here for a few months reading and have written a business plan. I have my insurance and have legally setup my d/b/a. I have a few questions that I could not find an answer to regarding what machine to buy.."
