Then that's a 3 amp, just enough to recharge the battery after a start. I may have some stuff laying around in the "junkyard". Let me see if I've got the stuff to convert yours. Buying all the components new will kill your wallet.
Correct. I'm racking my brain over the same thing. It'd cost $750 to change my converted Landa 220v 1 phase hot box over to a 12v volt and upgrade my PW charge coil to 18-20 amp.(plus marine battery)
I rarely use my hot box, so I think I'll stick with running it off my free 5kw 220v generator. (only pulls about 8 amps.)
Then I still have a generator on the trailer if I need it for lights or a reclaim vacuum or etc...My new trailer is large enough to accommodate all of it, so I won't worry about it right now.
On a side note...Can you get steam out of a 12v hot box??
I know my 220v Landa is steam capable if you turn the pressure down. I don't know if steam can be achieved with 12v DC??
