That was is because the watered down soap they try to sell you will be too dilluted down-streaming.
I hear folks allt the time defending these practices as being capitalism and vendor having a right to a profit. I agree to having a right to a profit, but giving "not-so-good" advice in order to steer a sale to a higher profit margin product/method is damaging to us ALL.
How? The unsuspecting new contractor leaves vendor with bundle of goods and head full of newly learned methods. He then , with his lip loaded, spews these not-so factual learnings on to his/our prospects. Damaging our chances of having an easier time educating the potential customer. These consumers are now faced with a choice of who to BELIEVE. And quite often, chooses the lower priced bidder. This absolutely hurts us ALL.
I could continue for hours, but I have too much to do in my combating hacks and those that aid in the production of those hacks. LOL
